Our community of pearl polishers (Pearl Shiny’s employees) and pearls (Pearl Shiny’s clients) is dynamic, nurturing, and collaborative. Whether you purchase our individual service products or apply and are accepted in our program, we will give you the best quality support possible.
Compared to our competitors, Pearl Shiny’s individual service products are offered at a flat price rate regardless of the years you have of work experience.
Pearl Shiny’s online program is very selective and if you are accepted, keep in mind that you will not pay until you clinch a job and start making money.
Is Pearl Shiny a recruiting company or an online educational institution?
No, Pearl Shiny is neither a recruiting company nor an online educational institution. Pearl Shiny excels in helping people like you with your job search through its services and/or program.
You’re expected to have some education, but not everyone is expected to have professional experience. We will empower you to improve your job search strategy and increase your chances of getting a better job with a higher salary.
Can I get a refund for a service product?
Yes! You have 48 hours (2 days) to request a refund, which is the refund request window we offer, after which we will not offer refunds and proceed to deliver the service(s) you purchased.
Can I withdraw from the program?
Yes! Once you have submitted your income share agreement and it immediately enters into effect (after applying and being accepted), you have 7 days (1 week) to withdraw from the program. If 7 days have passed, the income share agreement will be valid for the remainder of the year after entering into effect.
What types of jobs does Pearl Shiny help its clients prepare for?
Pearl Shiny helps its clients prepare for jobs in the tech industry, whether startups or the big tech companies.
SERVICES SPECIFICS
What happens after I purchase a service product?
After you purchase a Pearl Shiny service product, we will wait email you with a confirmation of the order received. Then, we’ll wait for the 48-hour (2-day) refund window to close. Afterwards, we’ll gladly follow-up with the delivery of the service.
Pearl Shiny’s service products are considered complete within one month from the date of purchase, unless otherwise extended by prior written agreement, regardless if you fail to follow through on your participation in the service delivery (being unresponsive to emails, not sharing documents, not showing up to videoconference sessions, etc.). If after the 48-hour (2-day) refund window has passed and we contact you, but you don’t respond for us to deliver the service, your service will be considered fully delivered within one month from the date of purchase.
Can I purchase more than one service product?
Yes, you’re encouraged to purchased more than one of Pearl Shiny’s service products. By doing so, you will be increasing your chances of being more competitive in the job search and be able to slay the competition.
PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCESS
What are the eligibility requirements for Pearl Shiny’s program?
Candidates for the program must be 18 years old or older and be authorized to work in the United States to join.
Pearl Shiny expects a commitment for professional growth, self-improve, and a certain level of knowledge and skills to be a successful candidate. Overall, we value commitment, motivation, and ambition more than what your current resume illustrates.
Am I underqualified or overqualified for Pearl Shiny’s program?
Pearl Shiny welcomes program candidates from all education levels, from high school graduates to college and university students and graduates to professional school and grad school students and graduates. We also welcome high school, college, university, professional school, and grad school dropouts who show potential as candidates to our program.
Pearl Shiny also welcomes program candidates from all professional experience levels, from first-time job seekers to professionals with various years or decades of experience.
We evaluate each program candidate based on their growth and success potential, before determining whether to accept and admit.
Does Pearl Shiny take diversity into consideration?
While our internal application selection and candidate screening process is based on merit, and the growth and success potential of each individual, Pearl Shiny does take diversity into consideration. Diversity is one of our three core values, along with positivity and community. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed in life and clinch their dream job regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Pearl Shiny’s program is open to all, yet it is focused on evening out the playing filed in the tech industry, by empowering individuals from underrepresented populations with the insider career knowledge that isn’t learned in schools.
What is the timeline after applying to join Pearl Shiny’s program?
Our application process typically takes 1 week from intake and screening, to acceptance or thanking for applying. If accepted, the program client will be provided with the onboarding steps to take.
Pearl Shiny accepts applying candidates on a rolling basis throughout the year.
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
What is the time commitment needed for Pearl Shiny?
The number of hours per week that Pearl Shiny’s clients spend on their job search varies. However, an absolute minimum of 5 hours per week is recommended for success.
Pearl Shiny’s program is creatively crafted to help with your job search and provide you with the tools to clinch your targeted dream job. While we expect our clients to be responsible and show commitment to our program, we allow for flexibility when it comes to schedules, whether school or work.
Is Pearl Shiny’s program just online?
Yes, our program is just online via resources provided through our website and video calls for maximum convenience and flexibility.
How long does it take for Pearl Shiny’s clients to land a job?
It really depends on the time commitment and application of job search tools and strategies, for the time it takes our clients to land a job. It should take, on average, 3-4 months for our clients to apply for jobs, interview and clinch a job offer. However, if it takes you longer, we will be by your side to help you with weekly 1-0n-1 mentorship until you clinch your dream job, as long as you remain in the program.
Which geographic locations can I get a job in?
In essentially any! You will be empowered to increase your chances of landing a position in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, smaller cities scattered around the United States, remotely, or international locations.
Just keep in mind that being authorized to work in the United States is a requirement to join Pearl Shiny’s program.
Our income share agreements apply to jobs located geographically within the United States, remote, or abroad.
How does Pearl Shiny’s mentorship work?
Our mentorship will provide you with tools and strategies for each step of your job search, plus it will also help with any questions or challenges you face with your job search. As long as you’re in the program, mentorship will be provided every week until you are successful and sign a job offer.
What will happen after I clinch a job?
Once you’re successful and manage to clinch a job, you will just need to pay us back a small percentage of your initial income (10%), through monthly payments (for just 12 months).
Additionally, Pearl Shiny is a professional network. You’ll always be welcomed to use our network whether to brush up on any of our resources, build new professional or leverage our network for professional purposes.
